Clients and Skills
I worked for a multitude of clients in different roles and agencies. Because the roots of my career lie in project management and production, I developed the skills to ensure things go well. This means different things at different times. Sometimes, my contribution is straightforward, and I concern myself with time and budget. The secret to being good at this is to understand the project deeply, the brief, the team, and the technical, managerial, and interpersonal aspects of the project, regardless of the scale or my title at the time.
Additionally, I had to be able to work in lockstep with creative teams, processes, and leaders in every role. I worked on multiple clients and multiple projects with multiple teams constantly. This database attempts to aggregate and sort my roles with different clients at different agencies and details the skills and tasks I brought to each engagement and the tools I used.
Since the database is overwhelming, I will highlight a few key engagements below.
Job Portraits - Employer Brand Agency
I entered Job Portraits to help the agency develop project management competency. Once I got there, it became obvious that the team and founders had little experience and, thus, little knowledge of how an agency should work. The founders were entrepreneurs from journalism and tech backgrounds, which gave them a unique perspective but left the agency lacking some critical agency competencies. I restructured and rebranded the agency, which led to the development of a unique position in the employer branding space and the development of new products. These changes radically improved the agency’s service offerings and, therefore, radically improved our retention rate. Job Portraits primarily serviced the tech industry.
Sample Job Portraits Clients:
Tinder
This client came to us with an EVP in hand, and we helped them activate it in a number of ways, including rebuilding their careers site and developing candidate messaging. We created an integrated campaign with recruiter tools, ongoing social media and storytelling efforts, and an analytics dashboard.
Cash App
This client needed new tools for recruiters. We launched a new product called a team portrait with Cash App. This microsite experience was sent to candidates to share information about the hiring team, current projects, and tech stack.
Danaher
Danaher Corp is a $182 billion organization that owns several companies in several verticals but primarily focuses on life sciences. We helped Danaher lead its employee storytelling campaign for about three years. We maintained a strategic storytelling schedule across multiple company divisions and interviewed employees at every level.
Sample Agency PURE Clients
Aerotek (Allegis)
Aerotek is a division of the Allegis group that is worth about $12 billion. We did some projects for other divisions of Allegis (Easi and Aston Carter), but our primary focus was developing the Aerotek brand. During my time there we developed, produced, and launched two massive creative campaigns and tended to their SEM efforts, and social campaigns.
French Market Coffee
French Market Coffee is a beloved local coffee brand in New Orleans owned by Reily Foods. Agency Pure launched a cold brew brand that held both the history of the brand and the enthusiasm of a new product in a relatively new category. The work was powerful, exceeded expectations, and led us to rebrand French Market Coffee as a whole. That rebrand substantially improved their competitive position in local markets and took market share from their closest competitor.
Ochsner Hospital
Ochsner Hospital asked Agency PURE to develop a campaign focused on innovation. We developed a radical campaign that refused to center robotics, technology, and doctors. Instead, we focused on the innovative notion that patients are their main focus and that all doctors, knowledge, and technology exist to improve the lives of their patients. The campaign was successful, and other regional hospitals took notice of it. Soon after the launch, we noticed hospitals in the area following suit.
Sample Peter A Mayer clients
Centurylink
Centurylink was one of Peter Mayer’s largest and longest-held client relationships. I spent most of my time at Peter Mayer focused on this client. We Supported Centurylink during their acquisition of three different tel-com companies. We built and managed their commercial website for both consumer and enterprise lines of business. We produced countless creative campaigns and managed an enormous amount of email, direct mail, TV advertising, and digital advertising.Louisiana Economic Development
Louisiana Economic Development selected Peter Mayer to help them launch an extremely robust website and campaign to attract investors to the state. Most of the heavy lifting in this effort was the task of making vast amounts of information compelling and accessible.
